Saudi Patient Safety Center and Pharmaceutical Care Held Training Programs for Hajj employees in Madinah

Medication safety courses for Hajj employees were launched in Medina, organized by the Saudi Patient Safety Center (SPSC) in cooperation with the General Department of Pharmaceutical Care in the Ministry of Health.
These courses come in the interest of SPSC to improve the Healthcare services and increase the level of medication safety for pilgrims through holding courses for physicians, pharmacists, and nurses. These courses will reflect positively through the health services provided to pilgrims in the holy places.
The Director General of SPSC; Dr. Abdulelah Alhawsawi stated that the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia pays a great attention to Hajj Season in order to achieve the specific goals that seek to provide a high quality of healthcare services.
“SPSC is striving to develop the safety aspects of the medical staff, and because of the intensive work of Hajj days, care must be multiplied in this aspect, which prompted us to establish these courses for medical staff” said Alhawsawi
It is worth mentioning that these courses will be over five days through five separate sessions, presented by several specialists and targeting all healthcare providers; consultants, specialists and technicians who will serve pilgrims during the Hajj season.
